Official transcripts from a high school or other secondary school in English are required for all students.
If you wish to transfer credits from another college or university, make sure to indicate that you are a transfer student on the application and forward your college transcripts, also. You will receive an evaluation of your credits during Orientation.
IUP is able to offer admission to students at varying levels of academic achievement and preparation. If you are looking for a benchmark, here is some info. Most students who earn admission to IUP meet or exceed these scores:

You come to the Art program with a portfolio that often represents years of work. But that's just a beginning. Course by course, year by year, our faculty and your peers will challenge you in ways you can't imagine to help you fully realize your artistic potential.As an art major pursuing the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, youll receive a comprehensive and professional education under the expert guidance of our faculty.Youll start your education in the BA degree program for studio art, and then transfer into the BFA degree program at the end of your sophomore year by successfully completing the BFA sophomore review.<br><br>BFA in Studio Art<br>Open to those on a BA in Studio Art track, following BFA sophomore review<br>Three tracks available:<br>Two-Dimensional Emphasis: Includes drawing, graphic design, and painting<br>Three-Dimensional Emphasis: Includes ceramics, jewelry and metals, wood and furniture design, and sculpture<br>Individualized Studio Emphasis: Build a degree program to meet specialized, individual needs.
