课程简介

The curriculum offers an introduction to all of the visual arts professions offered by the School of Art and Design and helps prepare students to choose an undergraduate course of study. Fiber encompasses a broad range of materials and techniques, and uniquely embraces discourses in contemporary art and design. The fibers area of study offers you instruction in: Papermaking, Book arts, Fabric painting, printing and dyeing, Textile construction, Mixed media techniques, Emphasis is placed on the integration of textile traditions with concerns of photography, sculpture, printmaking, painting, fashion and installation. Following basic coursework, you will focus on a personal direction and you will be guided in your development through readings, discussion, exposure to contemporary theory and class critiques.
