B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent.
A minimum grade of C+ in English Studies 12 or English First Peoples 12 (see Note).
Option 2: University entrance (for students who have post-secondary credit in BFA-related courses)
A minimum CGPA of 2.00 on all post-secondary credits completed and one of the following:
15 university-level credits in BFA-related disciplines (see Note) with a minimum GPA of 2.00 on these courses.
A UFV diploma in Visual Arts, Graphic and Digital Design, or Theatre.
A UFV Associate of Arts degree with an option in Theatre or Media and Communication Studies.
Option 3: (for students who have post-secondary credit, but not in BFA-related courses)
A minimum CGPA of 2.00 on all post-secondary credits completed.
Portfolio review.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) IBT score of 88 with no section below 20, or paper-based score of 570 with a TWE (essay) score of 4.5 or higher.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic format score of at least 6.5., with no band score less than 6.0.
MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) score of at least 85.
CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language) score of at least 70.

Develop your artistic skill, become a creative problem solver, and learn how to flourish in the creative arts industry by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA). In your first year, you can explore a range of Fine Arts discipline while you complete the BFA general requirements in writing, logical reasoning, and science. Global spending on entertainment and media is expected to rise to 2.6 trillion by 2023. In fact, the United Nations reports that the creative economy is one of the world's fastest growing sectors for income generation, job creation, and export earnings. According to British Columbia 2025 Labour Market Outlook, the motion picture and video industries lead employment growth in southwestern British Columbia. Annual revenues for film, TV, and digital media combined add up to 3 billion.
