课程简介
此选项不仅提供对过去的研究
This unique and customizable program in the humanities and social sciences provides students with the opportunity to specialize in fields such as anthropology, culture studies, diversity and equity studies, global studies, English, French, history or philosophy. You’ll learn critical analysis and research skills, and can participate in hands-on experiential learning opportunities such as team-based and community projects, an international exchange or a guaranteed fellowship. Your experiences both inside and outside of the classroom mean you’ll be ready to apply key insights from the past to solve the real-world problems of today and tomorrow. This option offers not only a study of the past, as a way to understand the present, but also a range of skills applicable to many jobs – those which require an understanding of research techniques, analysis, and logic. Each of these is a requirement of historical studies, as students must understand how to collect data, how to analyze it as to accuracy and sufficiency, and how to construct a logical argument from the evidence, if it is judged that there is sufficient evidence to support an argument.
