课程简介
The Bachelor of Visual Arts Education, as a K-12 certification, has the following requirements, which differ from those of secondary programs in other disciplines. In unusual circumstances, courses may be taken out of sequence with consent of the Art and Art History Department. Professional requirements are to be completed in three phases, in sequence, during which the student creates an Individual Major Portfolio. A minimum grade of B (3.0) is required in each course. In addition, for progression from phase to phase and completion of the program, minimum GPAs of B (3.0) or higher in the professional coursework and overall are required. Art and Art History programs offer a wide range of exciting opportunities to assist students in reaching their career, intellectual and personal goals. The Art and Art History faculty members offer students a level of personal attention that enhances the learning process. A high degree of hands-on experience and opportunities for internships also exist within the department. The department has numerous studio spaces, including ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture. In addition, the department has highly specialized facilities for graphics design, photography (darkroom), and audio/video production.
