课程简介
The Arts major at Lang enables you to study visual and performing arts in a liberal arts context. Connect academic inquiry and research to creative practice and use the arts as a powerful tool for self-discovery and advocacy. Choose one of two concentrations: Visual Studies or Arts in Context.
In these concentrations, you are challenged to think beyond traditional categories and forms to explore the arts as tools for self-discovery and social awareness. Central to The Arts program is a distinctive set of interdisciplinary courses, the Lang Interarts (LINA) curriculum. The LINA curriculum features discussion-based seminars and practice-based courses that bridge disciplinary boundaries and allow for exploration of the arts across broader conceptual and cultural perspectives.

The New School offers a vast selection of arts courses to Lang Arts students, including courses at Parsons School of Design and the College of Performing Arts. Distinguished visiting artists and guest presenters engage with students in workshops and public presentations such as the ArtWorks series.
