The University offers a bachelor of arts (BA) in art with concentrations in graphic design, 2-dimensional arts, 3-dimensional arts, and intermedia. Differing from the Department's fine arts major (BFA), this program is designed for art students who desire a more general education or a second major. The total studio credit-hour requirements are fewer than those required for the bachelor of fine arts, thus offering students the opportunity to complete electives or a minor that customizes their degrees to meet their particular career goals.<br><br>Coursework includes art history, theory, and criticism. Drawing is a vital part of the program, and provides students with basic perceptual and technical skills.
