国际学生入学条件

To meet our minimum requirements for admission to any of our undergraduate programs, you need to have graduated from grade 12 secondary school, have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.5 (C+ or 67%), and have completed 5 grade 12 subjects from the selection of BC Ministry approved courses below (or their equivalents if you completed school internationally or in a province other than British Columbia):

English Studies 12 with a minimum grade of 'C'
Accepted Language Arts subjects

Two other grade 12 academic courses
Mathematics courses
Science
Social Studies
Languages

Two grade 12 elective courses
All elective courses must be grade 12 and can be Ministry Approved, Board Approved or locally developed.
Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies
Arts Education

International Baccalaureate (IB)
3 Higher Level and 3 Standard Level subjects. A minimum requirement of 24 points is recommended to be considered for admission.

Other international applicants
Completion of the highest level of secondary education available in your home country, in a program leading directly to university entrance. You require at least a C+ (67) average in the five courses that most closely match the British Columbia requirements.

Accepted English Language Proficiency Tests
TOEFL - Minimum of 84 out of 120 total points including a minimum score in each of the four skills, Speaking 20/30, Reading 20/30, Writing 18/30, and Listening 20/30.
IELTS - Minimum band 6.5, with no component less than 6.0

The Interaction Design program places you at the centre of new creative practices such as strategic design, information architecture, game design, creative coding, visual sound design, and behavioural insights. Learn human-centered design methods and make sense of complex problems for more-than-human centered contexts. Choose your own path and learn to design games, services, medical applications and interactive spaces, using hybrid technologies as basic as pen and paper, or as sophisticated as virtual reality. Interactivity is everywhere, from apps and websites to physical devices and product-service systems. By combining a focus on sketching, prototyping, and testing, students gain the experience to design across media - digital and tangible. That's why the Interaction Design program at ECU is interdisciplinary and holistic, allowing you to take courses from Communication Design, Industrial Design, Animation, and New Media Sound Art to cover these overlapping disciplines. Our one-of-a-kind program, led by skilled and expert practitioners, focuses on critical and practical inquiry, research methods, technological skills, and design process. You'll take a blend of practice-based and theoretical courses that will prepare you to enter the IxD/UX field with substantial skills and adaptability in an evolving new discipline. Upon graduating, you'll have developed your own design portfolio, and be prepared to launch into graduate studies or a career in this dynamic field.
