The University offers a bachelor of arts (BA) in theater. The Theater Program provides a broad and solid foundation in the artistic, intellectual, and practical aspects of theater that prepares students for professional careers as actors, playwrights, directors, and designers. The program is also excellent preparation for graduate studies. Coursework includes a core of theater courses-plus general theater electives. Students desiring a more specialized program may choose one of the following concentrations in place of the general theater electives - Acting concentration, Design and technology concentration, Playwriting, dramaturgy, and directing concentration and Theater studies concentration. Our graduates are currently working in professional theaters as actors, playwrights, directors, and designers. The program also prepares students to pursue graduate studies.
