课程简介
The BFA Licensure Program in Art Education at UNC Greensboro prepares future K-12 art teachers who are aware of the needs of a global and diverse society, highly knowledgeable in their field, committed to diversity and multiculturalism, and open to new ideas and adaptable to change. Upon completion of the program, students will have advanced art studio and technical skills, content knowledge of art history, education, art education theory, and pedagogy from historical and contemporary perspectives, and have had quality preparation in general education. In addition, the program aims to foster respect and acceptance of diversity in a creative, productive, and peaceful society while shaping the minds of the next generation.

The BFA Licensure Program in Art Education at UNC Greensboro is committed to diversifying the field of art education by supporting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) students through culturally responsive curriculum, teaching, advising, and student teaching placements. We aim to continue growing a critical mass of BIPOC art educators as well as actively anti-racist White art teachers. We believe the present moment is calling for deep reflection and transformative action in all social institutions, including art education.
