国际学生入学条件
Admission to graduate study in Puppet Arts is a multi-step process that requires an application to be submitted to the Graduate School and an audition and interview with Puppet Arts.
You should complete the Graduate School application to the University of Connecticut, which will require transcripts for any degrees earned, names, institutional affiliations, and contact information for three (3) recommenders (the Graduate School will contact the recommenders directly for the letters), a resum which lists your education, employment, and artistic experience, including honors and awards, a personal statement explaining your past experience in the arts (including puppetry), your reasons for undertaking graduate work, your immediate aspirations and your goals for the future. TOEFL scores are required for admission for prospective students from non-Anglophone countries. Occasionally very talented applicants are not admitted if their undergraduate grades do not meet minimum graduate admissions standards.
After the submission of the application, an audition is scheduled by contacting the Puppet Arts program or via email at puppetarts@uconn.edu.
The audition process includes:
A prepared 3-5 minute presentation in any discipline of strength for the applicant, which demonstrates the individual's creativity.
A presentation of past work through a portfolio and interview and an improvised presentation initiated by the audition committee.
You must hold a baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university.
A cumulative GPA for their most recent degree of 3.0 or higher for the entire degree
Minimum overall scores of 79 (Internet-based test iBT/ iBT Home Edition), 550 (Old Paper-based test PBT) or 22/30 on each of the Listening, Reading, and Writing sections (New Paper-based test- PBT) or higher on the TOEFL test. (TOEFL Essentials is not accepted.)
