In pursuing a Music Composition degree, you will demonstrate your musical voice while learning and mastering analytical and technical skills in music within a variety of media and genres. UMKC’s Composition program is one of the leading programs in North America. By collaborating with performers and organizations across the UMKC Conservatory, local community and beyond, we incorporate multiple opportunities, performances and mentorships to help you succeed in developing your own voice and mastering your musical skills. Higher education and training in the music industry for composers and performers is essential to stand out from the rest.
