High School Transcript –
Submit your high school transcript (includes all high school coursework and grades).
A certified translation is required for any transcript not written in English.
College/University Transcript(s)-
Submit your official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities where college-level credits were earned (either while in high school or after graduating high school).
A certified evaluation (course-by-course with GPA calculation) by a NACES member organization is required for all non-US college-level coursework.
First-Year - 3.0 cumulative GPA OR 1120* SAT (evidenced-based reading & writing and math) OR 22 ACT (composite score). *1040 for exams taken prior to March 2016.
TOEFL Paper-Based Test (Accepted through April 2023) - A minimum score of 500.
TOEFL IBT Test - Overall score of 61.
IELTS Academic - Overall band of 6.0. No band below 5.5.
MTELP Computer-Based Test - Level 3. Overall score of 100.
Duolingo - A minimum score of 95.
MTELP Paper-Based Test - Overall score of 76.
SAT - Minimum of 480 on reading/writing.
*Minimum of 500 on critical reading for exam taken prior to March 2016.
ACT - Minimum of 18 on English.

The Bachelor of Arts in Music allows the student to pursue the study of music within the context of a liberal arts curriculum. The curriculum offers an intensive study of music as both an intellectual discipline and a performance art. In addition to classes, lessons, and performing ensembles common to the Bachelor of Music program, students pursuing the B.A. pursue more advanced music scholarship and research projects, as well as engage with other disciplines relevant to the study and performance of music.<br><br>Learning Outcomes<br>Perform in one primary performance medium, at a level appropriate for the area of specialization, with sufficient technical and musical skills requisite for artistic self-expression.<br>Demonstrate broad working knowledge of the solo repertoire for their primary performance medium, at a level appropriate for the area of specialization, and display essential skills to interpret a range of styles within that repertoire.<br>Perform in solo and ensemble (large and small) settings at a level appropriate for the area of specialization, with sufficient technical and musical skills requisite for artistic self-expression.<br>Read solo and ensemble (large and small) literature at sight with fluency demonstrating both general musicianship and, in the primary performance medium, a skill level relevant to professional standards appropriate for the area of concentration.<br>Demonstrate in written, verbal, aural, and visual methods knowledge of styles, composers, genres, forms and processes of Western European art music through present time, including contributions to this tradition made by composers of both genders and multicultural societies.<br>Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of harmony, musical form, and compositional process, and the ability to use this knowledge in written, verbal, aural, and visual analyses.
