Bachelor's degree in music (preferably in applied composition).
Minimum GPA of 3.00 for last 60 term hours and 3.00 for all music hours.

The minimum TOEFL score required is 79 for the internet-based test.
The minimum TOEFL score for the paper-based (pBT) exam is 550 or higher.
The minimum TOEFL score for the new revised paper-based exam is: Reading 20, Listening 20, and Writing 20.
The minimum IELTS score required is an overall score of a 6.5.

The Master of Music in musicology is a scholarly degree focused on music history. The program provides a foundation in musicologicaland, in some instances, ethnomusicologicalcoursework. The aim is to enhance any professional pursuit in music as well as to provide preparation for advanced Ph.D. programs in music. A Musicology Master's Thesis is the culmination of this program. Degree candidates often also hold a music history teaching assistantship and are may receive additional scholarship assistance.
