At UTSA, a music degree provides a firm foundation to nurture your creative calling. Youll be able to choose either a B.A. in Music or a B.M. with a concentration in any of the following: Music Education, Music Composition, Music Performance or Music Marketing. Concentrations are declared after youve been admitted and have met with your academic advisor.<br>A degree in Music from UTSA provides a rich and fulfilling contribution to the greater community and is a nationally recognized program accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. Youll follow the footsteps of many of today's greatest musicians as you pursue a career as a performing artist, sound engineer, composer, music educator, or as a music marketing professional.<br>The School of Music offers the Bachelor of Music (B.M.) degree, the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music degree, and the B.A. in Commercial and Digital Music. Within the Bachelor of Music degree, students may select a concentration in Music Education (with all-level teacher certification), Music Performance, Composition, or Music Marketing. The program also offers minors in Dance, Music, Jazz Studies, Music Marketing, and Music Technology. The School of Music is currently accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.<br>Music Marketing: Music Marketing Internship (MUS 4933). The student coordinates and establishes their own internship in a professional setting. Under the guidance and supervision of a music business leader and university professor, the student applies knowledge and skills from their university coursework.
