The School of Music has approximately 350 undergraduate majors, approximately 100 graduate students, and more than 70 artist-teachers. We are known for our wide and varied performance programs and our national leadership in music education. We offer courses in six distinct areas for highly talented and motivated students who have the opportunity to perform in enriching and award-winning ensembles and to work with internationally renowned guest artists.The School of Music has one of the nation's best equipped recording studios and two state-of-the-art performance halls.A bachelor's degree in music composition provides you with the opportunity to study with internationally recognized composers working across a wide variety of styles and media.Degree concentrations include instrumental/vocal composition and sonic arts technology.
