国际学生入学条件
You must submit official school transcripts as part of the application file. We'll accept official transcripts coming directly from the high school: uploaded through Naviance, emailed, or mailed via post.
Applicants that fulfill one or more of the following conditions will be considered to be a first-year:
An applicant that, at the time of application, is enrolled in an accredited secondary school (a domestic high school or the international equivalent) or homeschool program.
An applicant that has earned a high school diploma, GED or equivalent certificate of completion but that has not enrolled in any other accredited post-secondary institution.
An applicant that enrolled in a post-secondary institution but did not earn credit and/or that has completely withdrawn from that institution before credit was earned. Note: complete withdrawal must be verified by receipt of a transcript reflecting the withdrawal and/or a letter from the institution verifying that no credit was earned. TOEFL: Internet based, minimum score 79, IELTS: - Minimum score 6.5
Virtual Auditions
Popular and Commercial Music applicants must audition live via Zoom with departmental faculty. Students will receive instructions on how to register for a Zoom Audition Day after submitting an application to the university. Supplemental portfolios are optional and can be submitted through the student's Loyola Application Status Page.
Audition- Perform 2 songs in varied styles- Memorized
We are listening for your voice: Unique, original and creative approaches to creating and interpreting music
Songs may be original or cover material
Be prepared to work through vocal exercises and demonstrate improvisation skills
Accompanists are not provided for on-campus auditions. You should bring backing tracks for your audition or you may self-accompany with guitar, piano, etc.

Our exciting Bachelor of Science in Popular and Commercial Music degree program offers 360-degree training for aspiring performers and songwriters within the most popular genres of contemporary music, including pop, hip-hop, R&B, rock, country, and singer/songwriter. In addition to learning about the best practices of the music industry, you'll develop your performance and technical skills with instruction on style, recording techniques, theory, audio production, and more. Every semester, Loyola's pop student ensembles perform a showcase at the world-renowned House of Blues in New Orleans' famous French Quarter. But even outside of the classroom, you'll be surrounded by opportunities to showcase your talent with live performances in the city's countless venues.
