The conservatory's small size ensures composition students will receive a highly personalized and individualized education. Through private instruction and a variety of music courses, the composition student will explore and pursue the world of music with no particular bias with regard to musical ''style.'' The conservatory's annual New Music Festival also provides young composers with the opportunity to have original compositions performed in a public setting. Many will work with respected and accomplished guest composers.
