The piano curriculum at Lynn is rich in solo performance emphasis, thanks to its intimate atmosphere and unique structure. Graduate students engage in piano literature, pedagogy and keyboard skills coursework, and enhance musical growth through study each semester in our chamber music program. Additionally, graduate students participate in weekly studio classes and performance forums. Annually students also compete in the annual concerto, and attend guest pianist performances and master classes. The Conservatory environment provides a supportive and challenging environment for highly gifted and artistically motivated pianists. This is a two-year program of study at the post-baccalaureate level for students of piano. Students will pursue advanced studies in instrumental collaboration through extensive practical experience in both the studio and on stage through a practicum divided evenly amongst all studios. Weekly applied lessons, instrumental lessons, chamber coachings, seminar participation and a weekly studio class compliment coursework in piano literature, pedagogy and other music academics providing the student with the tools needed to attain professional competence and specialization in the area of instrumental collaboration.
