The Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree at the University of Missouri - St. Louis balances performing, academic, educational and technological aspects of music to prepare 21st century teachers.Students work with dynamic music education faculty and professional musicians drawn from the St. Louis area including members of the St. Louis Symphony and the Arianna String Quartet. Their goals: to engage, to inspire, to challenge.UMSL is a large, urban research university with active education and community partnerships including the E. Desmond Lee Fine Arts Education Collaborative, the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, and Opera Theatre Saint Louis. These partnerships allow students to become part of the educational fabric of St. Louis well before graduation.
