You want to perform music, to share your passion with others.The Bachelor of Music prepares you for a career as a professional musician or composer. It also serves as the gateway to graduate-level studies in music.This degree is designed to prepare students for the world of performance. Upon graduation, many students continue their studies at the master's level, either at LSU or other prestigious institutions. The degree requires 120 credit hours for completion including 38 credit hours of general education requirements. Although the Bachelor of Music degree may be completed in four years, dropping courses, changing majors, or transferring from another institution may prolong this course of study.
