Whether you want to spend your career instilling a love of music in young children, helping older children develop their skills, or working in academia, we have a music education program that will fit your needs. You can choose from four different areas of emphasis: choral, general, band, or orchestra. No matter which area you choose, youll receive a comprehensive education that gives you the tools you need to succeed as a teacher as well as extensive performance experience. Youll participate in at least one ensemble each semester of your academic journeyand you can join multiple ensembles. What types of ensembles you choose will depend on your musical focus and interests. We have more than two dozen bands, choirs, orchestras, and other ensembles from which to choose.
