课程简介
The Department of Early Music offers undergraduate and graduate degrees focusing on the historical performance of early instruments, complemented by theoretical studies and research related to early music. The Historical Performance Institute (HPI), the reserach arm of the department, sponsors a series of publications, recordings, and conferences devoted to early music. Students come to the department from around the world to study early instruments or voice with our internationally known faculty. As part of a major university, the department and HPI also draw on the resources of other academic departments, including musicology, literature, medieval studies, languages, and fine arts.<br><br>A minimum of 120 credit hours, excluding I400 and major ensemble, is required for all music undergraduate degrees. Total credit hours for some degrees may be higher because of specific requirements.
