The Department of Music trains our students to become critically aware musicians and prepares you for your chosen musical career by laying a foundation in performance, theory and musicianship.We offer superb performance and academic instruction in pristine, professional facilities on campus and at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre. You will receive individual attention from accomplished faculty, as well as experiential learning opportunities that allow you to perform, collaborate and engage with renowned Canadian and international artists.Experience practical skills training in our music practicum course, where you can complete for-credit volunteer placements in either music education, music healththerapy, music administration or music in the community, and hone your performance skills with opportunities to perform in public concerts, recitals and with the department’s choral and instrumental ensembles.
