A master's degree, doctoral degree or graduate diploma in music performance, or its equivalent, from a university recognized by McGill.
A cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.0 out of a possible 4.0, or a grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 out of 4.0 in your last two years of full-time studies.
Transcripts from each college/university-level institution that you have attended.
Two letters of recommendation (if you are currently a McGill student, you are exempt).
Personal statement: Describe your reasons for applying to the Artist Diploma program at McGill University. Include qualifications, qualities or circumstances that are significant. Outline your performance, research and professional goals, your expectations of the program and your perception of your own strengths and weaknesses (one page, PDF format, maximum size 5 MB).
Curriculum Vitae (CV): An overview of your experience and other qualifications, including all of your music-related accomplishments, employment, academic credentials, publications, honours, awards, contributions and significant achievements (PDF format, maximum size 5 MB).
Female voice applicants: Screening material (video) is required. Prepare required repertoire. If you are currently a McGill student completing a music degree, you are exempt (avi, mov, mp4 or wmv format)
IBT (Internet-Based Test): 86 overall, no less than 20 in each of the four component scores
PBT (Paper-Based Test): 567
IELTS (International English Language Testing System): a band score of 6.5 or greater (Academic module)

The Graduate Artist Diploma is the uppermost diploma offered at the Schulich School of Music. It is tailored for artist performers wishing to achieve the highest level of artistry in their craft through intensive coaching, practicing, and performance projects. Candidates are preparing for stage careers as soloists and orchestral musicians, opera singers, collaborative pianists, and chamber ensembles. Program requirements are flexible, with a range of performance project options relevant to the diverse opportunities of the modern artist (chamber, recording, creative collaborations, etc.). Students can be admitted to this year-long program after completing the Graduate Diploma in Performance (GDP) program or equivalent. Admissibility to the combined Graduate Diploma in Performance and Graduate Artist Diploma can be assessed in a single audition.<br><br>###COVID Alert Message from University – This course is offered online and will continue on campus later.
