Admission to the Master of Dental Public Health requires:
a bachelor or doctoral degree (or equivalent) in dentistry, or a bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, and
a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, or a qualification deemed by the faculty to be equivalent, and
performance in an interview.
As part of applying for this course you will need to include the following documentation with your application for admission.
If applicable, a copy of your current AHPRA Dental Registration certificate for domestic applicants, Evidence of current overseas practicing Dental registration certificate which shows the expiry date for international applicants. If the document is issued in a language other than English, please provide the original together with an official English translation.
a criminal record check before you are considered for admissions and undertake a clinical placement in a NSW Department of Health Facility if admitted. For international candidates, you need to submit a Criminal Record Check from your own Country at the time of application. If the document is issued in a language other than English, please provide the original together with an official English translation.
current detailed Resume outlining employment history, academic history, and relevant experience and achievements in clinical dentistry or public health or research.
contact details of two work related referees including their name, position, telephone and e-mail address.
a statement of intent explaining why you wish to undertake this course and the outcomes you hope to achieve.
IELTS score- A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band
TOEFL - IBT score A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 23 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 25 in Writing

The Master of Dental Public Health focuses on the prevention of oral diseases and improving oral health at a population level, particularly among vulnerable populations. Graduates will gain advanced skills in oral health surveillance, research and optimisation of oral health services and delivery.<br>This course is designed for registered dentists in Australia seeking specialist recognition and those who are seeking a premier education in dental public health, such as other dental practitioners, international dentists and non-dentally qualified individuals working in oral healthpublic health.<br>The Master of Dental Public Health is a postgraduate coursework degree that will give you advanced skills in oral health surveillance, policy development, community-based disease prevention, health promotion, research, and optimisation of oral health services and delivery. Graduates from this program who are also registered dentists will be eligible to apply for registration with the Dental Board of Australia as a dental specialist in public health dentistry.<br><br>You will complete core units in dental health services, population oral health and preventative dentistry, in addition to capstone and research project units. You will also complete elective units as needed to make up the requirements of the course.
