To be eligible for admission to your chosen honours course at UWA, you must:
successfully complete a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university, demonstrating a strong academic performance in the final-year units of the major you intend to undertake
ensure you confirm the specific entry requirements for your chosen honours specialisation
Your degree will normally need to be completed within seven years of your starting honours (depending on the course).
To be eligible for UWA's undergraduate degrees based on previous higher education studies, applicants must have completed one full-time semester or the equivalent of studies at an Australian university and at the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 7 or higher, and have achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 (7) or above. Applicants must also provide evidence of satisfying UWA's ELC requirements. Applicants who have completed one full-time year or the equivalent of studies at the AQF Level 7 or higher, within the previous two years of application, and achieved a GPA of 4.0 (7) or above are not required to provide separate evidence of ELC to be eligible.
International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB)-English A1 at HL or SL - Minimum score 4
English A2 at HL or SL - Minimum score 4
English B at HL - Minimum score 5
IELTS (Academic) including IELTS for UKVI (Academic)- Minimum overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0 (must include Academic Reading and Writing modules)
TOEFL - Essay Rating / Test of Written English (TWE) of 4.5 and either 230 (Computer-based) or 570 (Paper-based) score. Internet-based Test (iBT): An overall score of 82 with a minimum score of: 22 in the Writing section, 18 in the Reading section, 20 in the Speaking section, and 20 in the Listening section for all courses

In Population Health you examine the patterns of health and disease in society, and apply medical research and evidence-based medicine to populations to improve the health of the community.Population Health examines patterns of health and disease in society, the applications of medical research and evidence-based medicine to populations and considers what we can do to improve the health of the community. This major will give you a strong foundation in health science with skills in scientific investigation, critical thinking and problem solving.<br><br> In your first year, you'll study health issues locally and globally, and the social, environmental, biological and historical factors that influence health in a population. In second year, you'll develop skills in critical appraisal and research inquiry, measuring the size of health issues, causes and risk factors and the potential for prevention. In third year, study is focused on health promotion, health systems and policies, health leadership skills and health research. Across the course you'll also study complementary units in Aboriginal health and communication and project planning in health. Central to the major is community engagement, through structured visits to health organisations, voluntary work experience programs and field trips. The major enables you to achieve the knowledge and skills recognised as meeting nationally and internationally recognised standards.
