Apply nursing knowledge and skills to priority public health areas including Indigenous health, aged care, and risk factors for illness.Complete 2 separate degrees in 4 years full-time.Complete more than 800 hours of professional placementChoose electives in areas of interest including womens' health, international health, Indigenous health, domestic violence and more.Graduates are eligible to apply for registered nurse status with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and are eligible for membership to the Public Health Association of Australia.Careers and outcomesGraduates of this course can apply nursing knowledge and skills to public health areas such as Indigenous health, population health issues and risk factors for illness. Professionals who are skilled across these disciplines can choose to work as a nurse in the clinical environment or as a public health professional, implementing new ways to improve community health.Graduates may also work in non-government and community organisations in roles that focus on advocacy for minority groups, or as consultants and project officers in international health agencies.
