课程简介
The Master of Nursing Science (Pre-registration) (MNSc (Pre-reg)) programme is a 4-semester two-year programme. The MNSc (Pre-reg) allows degree qualified students a direct and faster route to a nursing career. On successful completion, graduates will be awarded a Master of Nursing Science (Pre-registration) and be eligible to apply to the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) to sit the State Final Examination to become a registered nurse. Graduates who have achieved a recognised bachelor's degree with a minimum B grade (65%) in the third year of their qualifying degree will be considered for this programme. A 15 credit online preparatory health science module will be offered for applicants who have little or no health science knowledge. The targeted learners for this programme are graduates wanting a career change and graduates who are looking for a career. It is believed that having graduates from a range of different discipline backgrounds will bring a richness and diversity to the student group and enhance mankitanga and whakawhanaungatanga within the group. The programme will be delivered using a blended and flexible model of delivery to enable students to undertake studies closer to home. Theory content is delivered in block courses supported by online teaching and learning activities and with a high level of engagement between learners, academic staff, and clinical experience partners. Integrated clinical experiences support praxis with the intentional development of culturally responsive work-ready nurses competent and capable of working interprofessionally to meet the health care needs of Mori, Pacific, rural and remote health consumers, whnau and community.
