课程简介
Nursing is a demanding, yet rewarding profession. Our undergraduate programmes have been designed, developed and are delivered to recognise the core values of the NHS and the required standards of our accrediting body the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
We are one of the largest university trainers of Nursing and Health Professionals in the north west of England and are very proud of our strong associations and partnerships with the local NHS trusts and other stakeholders.

This course is designed to lead to careers in Health Visiting or School Nursing. Applicants must be a first level nurse or midwife with a current or pending registration on the NMC Professional register and must have a supported practice placement. All aspects of the course focus on the development of skills, knowledge and attributes required for the SCPHN role. There is a focus on public health, community development, health needs assessment and health inequalities.

The programme builds on the core values of the NHS constitution and is approved by the NMC to offer students the opportunity to gain a specialist practitioner qualification in School Nursing and Health Visiting qualifications.Drawing upon our internationally recognised research expertise in economic, social, political and cultural geography, our Human Geography course has been designed to let you understand the causes and potential solutions to some of the biggest challenges the world faces today. We'll introduce you to theories and approaches to understand the relationship between society and space and help you make sense of geographical processes. From past events to future developments and from local changes to global trends, you'll build up a wide-ranging understanding of how our society interacts with our environment. Study Human Geography at Manchester Met and you'll get to grips with qualitative research techniques, not only learning the theories but also putting them into action – both in the city of Manchester and overseas. With a flexible range of units on offer, you can follow specialist pathways through to your final year, in environmental sustainability or Geographical Information Systems. And, if you take the four-year route for this programme, you can spend a year either working on a placement or studying overseas before returning for your final year. This course is also available with a Foundation Year.
