Academic requirements:

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age when they begin their studies

Successful completion of Year 13 (NCEA Level 3) with minimum of with minimum of 48 credits (approx.) 42 credits (approx.) or International Baccalaureate score 24+ or Cambridge International Examination (CIE) 120 points on UCAS tariff.

English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic) with an overall score of 6.5 with minimum band scores of 6.5 in speaking, reading, writing, and listening. TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): Score of 79 (with a writing score of 21); PTE (Academic) score of 58 with no band score lower than 50; Cambridge English Qualifications: C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency with a score of 176. No less than 169 in each skill. OET: Minimum of Grade C+ or 300 in all sub-tests. NZCEL - Level 5. Language Cert - C1 Expert International ESOL Written (LRW) HIGH PASS with no less than 25/50 in each skill and Spoken (S) PASS, or C2 Mastery International ESOL Written (LRW) PASS with no less than 25/50 in each skill and Spoken (S) PASS.

Our Bachelor of Nursing is underpinned by a belief that in today’s constantly changing healthcare environment, people, their whānau, and their community’s complex and diverse health needs require nurses who are well-educated, research-informed, and adept in critical thinking. We believe the best way to develop and train nurses is through a balance of thinking and doing, so you’ll get to apply your learning in a range of health-related areas, and on placements at a variety of hospitals and health centres across the Auckland region. This is to ensure you graduate confident and work-ready. Our Bachelor of Nursing is the only programme in West Auckland which prepares you for registration as a nurse and is approved by the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
