A Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree holding a current Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of New Zealand,
OR an internationally qualified nurse who has been assessed by the Nursing Council of New Zealand as meeting their language and academic requirements to undertake a Competency Assessment Programme for New Zealand registration.
English Language requirements:
Overall IELTS 6.5 Academic
LISTENING - 6.5
READING - 6.5
WRITING - 6.5
SPEAKING - 6.5
TOEFL Paper-based test (pBT) - Score of 550 (with an essay score of 5.5 TWE)
TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT) - Score of 79 or higher (with a writing score of 21)
Cambridge English Qualifications - C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency with a score of 176. No less than 169 in each skill
Pearson Test of English (Academic) - PTE (Academic) score of 58 with no band score lower than 50

Pave the way to greater opportunities in the New Zealand health sector.<br>If you're an overseas educated Registered nurse, this programme is designed to equip you with the confidence and skills to plan and co-ordinate complex patient care. It is a full time one year programme with intakes in February and August.<br>Courses include: Academic Writing, Health Assessment, Understanding Mental Health and Illness, Communication and Clinical Skills, Rapid Assessment of the Acutely Unwell Patient, Diabetes Management, Maori Health Nursing and Pharmacology.<br>Please note: This programme is intended as professional development for overseas nurses. New Zealand-trained nurses seeking professional development are advised to explore our Graduate Certificate in Nursing.
