Public health professionals work behind the scenes to promote a healthy environment and prevent people from getting sick or hurt. This is achieved by encouraging healthy behaviors or investigating patterns that could cause disease or injury. If youre ready to make a difference, the bachelor's in public health can help you create a healthier future.<br>UTSA's Public Health degree is for those who are interested in gaining knowledge and skills in a variety of health-related areas like biostatistics, environmental science, epidemiology, health policy, health communication and health behavior. The degree program is designed to prepare you for jobs in local, state and national government health agencies, and private and non-profit health organizations. <br>Ensuring our HCAP students are ready for the world of work is a top priority. HCAP has a dedicated internship director who coordinates with employers to provide internship opportunities and advice for students. There have been over 140,000 internships hours completed by HCAP students. Courses offer career-engaged learning experiences such as opportunities in undergraduate research, internships and field experiences. The HCAP Student Success Center provides additional outside classroom support in professional development and leadership.
