TOEFL or IELTS scores for international applicants
International applicants are required by the UA Graduate College to submit a TOEFL score of 90 on the iBT (web-based) test. For students who take the IELTS examination, an overall score of 7 is required, with a score of no less than 6 on any individual band or module. TOEFL and IELTS test scores must be dated within two years of the year of enrollment.
The Environmental Health track has the same requirements as the MPH program and further requires:
At least two semesters of general/inorganic chemistry are required
Recommended: One semester of calculus, one semester of organic chemistry, and one semester of physics
The Industrial Hygiene track has the same requirements as the MPH program and further requires:
Two semesters of general/inorganic chemistry (Chem I and II)
One semester of organic chemistry
One semester of physics
One semester of calculus
As a reference, courses listed in the University of Arizona catalog that fulfill these requirements include: MATH 125 Calculus I, MATH 129 Calculus II, CHEM 151 General Chemistry I, CHEM 152 General Chemistry II, CHEM 241 Organic Chemistry, and PHYS 141 Introductory Mechanics. Students can make up deficient coursework during their first year in the program.

The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree is designed to be an interdisciplinary, professional degree in public health. The MPH Program provides opportunities for students to obtain broad knowledge and basic skills in the core areas of public health. Students are able to acquire proficiency in one or more specialized areas through advanced coursework, and gain experience in applying advanced knowledge to the solution of actual health problems in community settings during internship training. The program is designed to be a two year program for full-time students. Part-time students can take up to 6 years to complete the program. The MPH competencies guide the development of the program curriculum and learning activities for the core and required courses in the MPH curriculum. This posted list of competencies also provides applicants, students, employers and other stakeholders' information about the knowledge foundation and skills of graduates from the MEZCOPH MPH program.<br>The MPH degree in Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) is offered by the Department of Community, Environment and Policy. There are two tracks available for students to pursue: Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) and Industrial Hygiene (IH).<br>Both tracks prepare individuals to evaluate and control health risks posed to communities and workers by chemical, biological contaminants, and physical exposures. The EOH track provides greater flexibility in selection of electives and emphasis areas, and requires 42 credit hours for completion. The IH track provides a greater focus on worker protection. Additional courses are required.
