The Cornell MPH program seeks to recruit students from diverse backgrounds to create a transdisciplinary learning environment that will equip graduates to assess and address issues of public health importance.MPH course instruction is taught by leading public health experts and faculty on the Ithaca campus and is complemented by applied practical learning settings around the world. For the standard two‐year program, the curriculum will be comprised of four components, including core course work, concentration and elective course work related to one of two concentration areas, two mentored practicum in the field of public health, and presentation of a culminating capstone project.As a professional degree, MPH graduates are expected to leave the program equipped to enter the workforce and lead public health action. In order to be equipped to do so, two practicums are required which will be overseen by an advisor, supervisor, or preceptor.
