High school graduate: If you are currently in high school, we just need to see your 9-11 (or equivalent) grade transcripts for an admission decision. However, you must graduate from an approved high school (or equivalent) prior to starting classes at CMU.
To ensure your success at CMU, you must provide proof of proficiency in English
Submit official transcripts from your high school. If you have college credits, also submit transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended.
TOEFL: 550 PBT/79 IBT for regular admission.
IELTS: 6.5 for regular admission.
General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or General Certificate of Education (GSE): A score of A or B on the English Language Exam.
SAT: Evidence-based Reading and Writing (EBRW) score of 520.
ACT: English score of 21.
ELS Language Center Program: Completion of Level 112 for regular admission.
International Baccalaureate (IB): A grade of 5 in English at the Higher Level is required for regular admission.

The Public Health program is for those who want to teach others how to lead healthier lives. With the knowledge that our lifestyles affect our health, well-being, and longevity. Americans have an increased interest in practicing healthier lifestyles to improve their quality of life. As a community health professional, you will inform and motivate people to lead healthy lifestyles. Your duties may include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating community health education programs and services. Whether you work in a classroom or a health agency, you will receive academic preparation in health sciences and develop educational, organizational and leadership skills. You will also learn to work effectively with people. Public health education is for the service-minded student with a passion for teaching and health. Central's program will prepare you for a career in many different governmental, nonprofit or community-based organizations, private health agencies, and hospitals. After graduating, youll be ready to educate the public, promote wellness throughout the community, assess, plan and implement programs, and organize community events to address health issues.
