At least two years of relevant, post-undergraduate professional experience strongly preferred, but not required for admission. The minimum acceptable score on the paper-based TOEFL is 570, and for the Internet-based test, 88. Many programs, however, require a considerably higher level of proficiency. For IELTS, the minimum acceptable score will vary by program. In many cases, a score of at least 7.0 is desirable.

The Global Health track is designed to educate innovative and effective public health professionals in the development and management of effective global health initiatives, to contribute to sound public health policies and practices, and to engage in meaningful partnerships with communities.The Global Health Track is designed to equip global health professionals for leadership positions with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, immigrant health agencies, philanthropic foundations, industry, and/or academic institutions.<br><br>As part of the 400-hour public health practicum, students in the Global Health track may work in an international low-resource setting, or with international populations in the U.S. Previous practicum placements have included:<br> Lwala Community Alliance<br> World Health Organization<br> Partners in Health / Compaeros En Salud<br> Fundacin INFANT<br> ministries of health and non-governmental agencies in countries like Mozambique, Zambia, Kenya, Guatemala, Haiti, and China
