Have a competitive undergraduate GPA
Plan to apply to a healthcare professional program within two years of graduation from JCPH. Programs include, but are not limited to, allopathic medicine, osteopathic medicine, podiatric medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, psychology, dentistry, physician assistant, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work, midwifery or advanced nursing practice programs.
Transcripts: Submit official undergraduate and graduate transcripts from all regionally accredited institutions you have attended and/or from which you earned credit.
Personal Statement/Essay: Submit your personal statement/essay to SOPHAS. Use 300-500 words describing your interest in the program. Include your personal experiences and how they relate to your goals and expectations for the program.
Letters of Recommendation: Three letters of recommendation are required. Letters may be from an instructor, employer, volunteer coordinator/supervisor or other qualified individual. Submit letters through SOPHAS.
R'sum: Submit a r'sum or CV in SOPHAS.
Applicants are required to hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent upon evaluation of international transcripts prior to the start of the program.
GPA Requirement: A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is preferred.
TOEFL IBT & IBT Home Edition: 80 (no sub-score below 20)
TOEFL Essentials: 8.5 (no sub-score below 8)
IELTS: 6.5 (no sub-score below 6)

The Jefferson College of Population Health (JCPH) offers a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, which is nationally accredited through the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). Students develop competencies in several key public health areas: health behavior and social sciences, biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, policy and advocacy, program planning, implementation and evaluation and others. The interdisciplinary curriculum stresses leadership skills, systems thinking, health communication, global health and cultural humility and competency.<br>The accelerated pathway (one academic year) is for future healthcare professionals. Students on this pathway start the program in the fall trimester. MPH LEAP students are trained to be Leaders in Evidence, Application & Prevention and they graduate ready to make a difference at the patient's side and in the community.<br>The LEAP Pathway is an accelerated course of public health study designed to increase the number of healthcare professionals who have advanced public health training with the goal of promoting wellness, assuring quality, and addressing the social determinants of health in the healthcare setting and in the community.<br>The LEAP Pathway at the Jefferson College of Population Health is designed to complement the College's existing efforts to train healthcare practitioners. This Pathway provides pre-healthcare students with an opportunity to use their gap year to pursue an accelerated MPH degree. The LEAP Pathway provides training in leadership, epidemiology, biostatistics, health behavior, healthcare delivery, policy, wellness, and prevention. The MPH LEAP pathway prepares students to address pressing and emerging threats to health and well-being.
