TOEFL-The Harvard Chan School prefers a 104+ on the TOEFL IBT and our minimum score requirement is 100 with sub-section scores of 25 or higher on the IBT.
IELTS- The Harvard Chan School will accept the IELTS Academic Test with a score of 7.5 or greater.
Applicants are required to submit three letters of recommendation to SOPHAS. At least one recommender should be a former instructor. Applicants are encouraged to verify that all recommendations are submitted in a timely manner in order for the application to be considered complete by the application deadline.
Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health requires a resume or curriculum vitae of all applicants outlining education (including dates attended and dates degrees were awarded or are expected to be awarded), work experience (including dates of employment, job title, and description of responsibilities for each position held), and if applicable, a bibliography of publications.
Applicants to Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health must have a minimum of a U.S. bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university or non-U.S. equivalent. Some Harvard Chan School degree programs require additional pre-requisite degrees and/or work experience.

The mission of this degree program is to prepare the next generation of researchers for global health and population around the world in order to advance global health research and reduce the burden of disease, especially in the world's most vulnerable populations. Program graduates contribute to the improvement of global health and the resolution of population problems. Graduates have the analytical and technical skills to address health and population problems from a range of disciplinary perspectives. They build a set of advanced competencies covering conceptual approaches, theory and applications, problem solving and analysis, as well as a wide range of quantitative and qualitative methods. Graduates pursue careers in policy analysis, monitoring and evaluation of public health programs, and academic and programmatic research. They will engage with global health research at national and international government agencies, NGOs, the private sector and academic institutions. The GHP SM2 Program is offered for full-time student status only. Part-time student status is not permitted
