Students who perform well in science and math classes and are interested in careers in clinical health sciences are a good fit for the Bachelor of Science in Public Health. The program is designed to provide flexibility to complete basic and applied science pre-requisite courses for admission to a range of graduate and professional programs, including medical school, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary science, applied health sciences and other STEM disciplines.<br><br>The BS in Public Health prepares public health researchers and practitioners for careers in environmental health, addressing the impacts of contaminated water and pollution on environmental health; occupational health, strengthening worker health and safety; and epidemiology, the basic science of public health that tracks and documents disease outbreaks. Graduates are also prepared for community-engaged work in public health settings.<br><br>Selectives include courses in biological sciences, chemistry, earth and environmental sciences, kinesiology, mathematics and statistics, physics and advanced public health courses.
