Prospective students will apply to the CSD PhD program through the Graduate School at UNC Greensboro Admission procedures will follow those described in the UNCG University Catalog and practiced by the doctoral program in Communication Sciences and Disorders
Applications to the CSD PhD program are completed online through the Graduate School website The following materials are required for an applicant to be considered for admission to the UNCG CSD PhD program
University transcripts
GRE scores TOEFL scores for international students
GPA minimum of 3.0
Current vita
Sample of writing
Three letters of recommendation
Interview with the CSD Graduate Program Director for Doctoral Education and a potential faculty sponsor in the applicants research area of expertise
IBT TOEFL 79 TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition score report also accepted same score and paper based - 550.
IELTS 6.5 IELTS Indicator also accepted same band score.
Duolingo English Test DET - 110.
ELS - 112 score report.
Kaplan International Higher Intermediate Level.
Academic Transcripts - For US transcripts please follow the normal protocol from your institution when ordering official transcripts For Undergraduate Admissions the International Recruitment and Admissions Office accepts stamped copies of high school transcripts from US community colleges.
The Graduate School requires a course-by-course evaluation report showing completion of a bachelors and a graduate degree if required by the program that is equivalent to a US degree from an international college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned.

The Doctor of Philosophy in Communication Sciences and Disorders is designed for advanced study, with an emphasis on the development of research and teaching skills. The Ph.D. is a post master's research degree, which requires 63 credit hours. Part- and full-time study is available and can take from four to seven years to complete.<br><br>Students are paired with a doctoral mentor and interact with CSD doctoral faculty as well as doctoral faculty in related disciplines in order to receive:<br>Mentoring in basic or applied research and grant writing.<br>Instruction in teaching and supervised teaching experience.<br>Students may enroll for part-time or full-time study at the UNCG campus. Full-time study can be completed in three to five years. Typically, part-time study is completed in five to seven years.<br>Full-time: 3-4 courses per semester<br>Part-time: 1-2 courses per semester
