Describe a challenging academic/professional situation and how you resolved it. (word limit: 250)
What should we know about your background, identity, or learner experiences that are not evident from your transcript (word limit: 250)
Provide a CV/Resume (1-2 pages).
Submit three letters of recommendation.
International Applicants
International students applying to the communication sciences and disorders master's program must demonstrate adequate English proficiency by submitting an official score report received directly from the following test agencies with acceptable scores no more than two years old. (See below). Applicants must achieve a total score on the TOEFL iBT of 94 or greater across all categories (i.e., reading, listening, speaking, writing) or a total score on the IELTS of 7 or greater across all categories (i.e., reading, listening, speaking, writing).

Students who enter the graduate program in Communication Sciences and Disorders are trained to work in various settings with children and adults. Students seeking Teacher Certification in addition to the Master's degree should see a graduate advisor for additional teacher certification requirements. Those who do not have undergraduate degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders must complete the undergraduate deficiencies. Students must consult a graduate advisor in Communication Sciences and Disorders before enrolling in major courses. Admission to this program is competitive.<br><br>Model<br><br>Eastern Michigan University's advanced professional education programs develop leaders who demonstrate reflective thought and scholarship within the context of a diverse society. In addition, the masters-level programs in the Department of Special Education and Communication Sciences and Disorders produce professionals with the comprehensive knowledge, skills, and attitudes to deliver a continuum of habilitative/rehabilitative services to persons with special needs, and their families, within a diverse society.
