Adequate test of English language proficiency: This is required for all applicants whose native language is not English. It can be accomplished by submitting results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (iBt 79) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (minimum required score: 6.5).
Additional accepted English proficiency exams: Duolingo Test (minimum required score: 100), Pearson PTE (minimum required score: 50), DAAD (minimum required score: B2), EIKEN (minimum required score: Pre-1), and iTEP (minimum required score: 3.5).
Applicants who have received an Associate's degree from a regionally accredited United States college or university are not required to submit an English proficiency exam.
Minimum cumulative Grade Point Average: Worcester State requires a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA from the last institution you attended.

The Communication Sciences and Disorders Honors Program is intended for outstanding students within the major. Students completing the requirements will graduate with departmental honors. Applicants must submit a letter of application to the Communication Sciences and Disorders Undergraduate Committee, a research proposal, and a letter of support from a faculty sponsor.<br>You will develop the ability to think critically, evaluate data, engage in scientific reasoning, and write and present professionally. With this degree you will be ready for a career in a helping profession, or you can continue on to graduate school to become a speech-language pathologist or audiologist. Whether you want to work alongside an autistic child, help students learn to read in the classroom, or help individuals stay part of the conversation as they age, this degree will help you achieve your goals.
