To be eligible for admission, the applicant must have:
Completed high school from an accredited institution or passed the GED
Completed a minimum of 96 quarter units or 64 semester units at an accredited college or university
minimum of 2.0 GPA is required for all transfer courses. C-minus grades are not acceptable for transfer credit.
A recommended 3.25 science GPA (minimum 2.75)
A minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 80 (internet-based) or 550 (paper-based) is required.
The minimum required score for International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is 6.5

The first year at Loma Linda University primarily emphasizes the theoretical aspects of clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology, and immunohematology, with training in phlebotomy. The senior year combines clinical training with more advanced classroom topics. The field of Clinical Laboratory Science is open to those who have an interest in medical science. The student who enters this allied health profession should show aptitude for mathematics and for the chemical and biological sciences. The program begins the third week of August.
