You are considered a freshman if you have not taken any post-secondary/college coursework. Your application should include your high school or secondary school records, including results from culminating or leaving examinations. Scores from the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of the College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) or the American College Test (ACT) will be required, along with an essay and a letter of recommendation. The university requires a minimum TOEFL score of 550 on the paper version of the test, 213 on the computer-based version or a 79-80 on the internet-based version. IELTS minimum score: 6.5.

The Applied Biomedical Sciences degree program provides a high quality education in biomedical and laboratory sciences. Students take a robust core of basic and applied sciences, combined with multiple hands-on laboratory courses, and then choose between two options: Clinical Science Option - Prepare for employment in fields associated with diagnostics and research, such as pharmaceutical, forensic and research science and medical device research and development. Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Option - Prepare for employment in hospital clinical laboratories and biotechnology companies.
