Are you a practicing paramedic seeking your four-year degree Consider the Emergency Medical Services program to bolster your training. The Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at the University of Arizona's College of Medicine is designed for certified paramedics who are practicing at the state or national level. Students majoring in EMS will gain advanced training in leadership and critical care for both adult and pediatric patients from courses taught by experienced emergency medicine and EMS physicians. They'll expand their knowledge in EMS systems, disaster response, special operations, EMS medical and legal concerns, and EMS care in rural, wilderness and other limited-resource settings. This fully online program is designed to accommodate working paramedics and learners who are outside of Arizona or deployed. This program requires paramedic certification, an associate degree from community college is not required.
