A bachelor's or first-level professional degree from a regionally accredited institution. If the degree is from a non-U.S. college or university, the institution must be recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned. The degree must at least be equivalent to a four-year U.S. bachelor's degree or first-level professional degree. The Registrar will vet and make a recommendation to Dean of School of Graduate Studies for approval
A satisfactory academic record.
IELTS - 6.0 with 5.5 minimum in all bands
TOEFL iBT - 79
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the availability of online testing, we will accept the TOEFL at-home test as proof of English proficiency.

The Interdisciplinary Leadership in Disability Studies certificate program is offered through the School of Graduate Studies and the Institute for Human Development. Disability Studies is a relatively new, interdisciplinary field that studies disability from a social and cultural context. The certificate can be completed either in conjunction with a graduate degree program or as a free-standing credential. Students in such diverse fields as sociology, psychology, nursing, pharmacy, law, social work, public administration, urban planning and design and education are well suited for this certificate. Students who receive the certificate will be prepared to influence public policy, professional practice, societal arrangements and cultural values that shape the meaning of disability.<br><br>Students graduating from this program will:<br><br>Demonstrate appropriate depth and breadth of knowledge in their disciplines.<br>Use skills of interdisciplinary scholarship and research to integrate multiple perspectives.<br>Work effectively in a collaborative environment.<br>Effectively communicate results of their research to diverse audiences.<br>Understand and value diverse approaches to problems.<br>Use self-reflection for personal and professional improvement.
