If you are pursuing the BS-HSS and are interested in applying to the the Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) you may take a set of courses through the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences in preparation for that program. Once you have completed the BS-HSS Core courses in your junior year you can apply for the accelerated degree program. If accepted into the graduate program through the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, your final 12 credits of the BS-HSS will also be applied to the Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) graduate degree. If not accepted you must meet with your advisor to plan for completion of the BS-HSS degree including a capstone course. Admission to the undergraduate degree concentration does not guarantee admission to the doctorate program either as an accelerated degree student or as a regular graduate student. Other audiology graduate programs have similar but not necessarily identical prerequisites, you should check with the graduate program of your choice while pursuing your undergraduate degree.
