Freshmen candidates applying directly from high school are expected to complete a rigorous college preparatory curriculum (Core 40 curriculum for Indiana residents) and maintain a cumulative grade point of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

It is vital to use the same name on all correspondence to Indiana State.
If you do not have a U.S. social security number, leave this item blank, and the University will assign you a University identification number.
Write your address as you would on an envelope to be mailed to yourself. Include your street and number (or post office box), city/US IP code, province/state/zone, postal code, and country.
When completing your address on your application, your permanent address must be your home country address, even if you are currently residing in the United States. Do not list the United States address of a friend or relative.
Copy of passport. If studying in the United States a copy of your current I-94 card, F-1 or J-1 visa, and I-20 or DS2019 are also required. If currently in the United States but not studying, a copy of the applicable visa must also be submitted.

The University offers a bachelor of science (BS) in physical education for students who wish to obtain licensure to teach physical education in K-12. The physical education major combines theoretical knowledge with practical application working with students in area schools. Beginning with their first year on campus, students are progressively guided through experiences that prepare them for successful careers in teaching. Students have numerous opportunities to apply concepts of teaching in high school, middle school, and elementary school settings, culminating with a semester-long student teaching experience. Coursework in the major includes skill proficiencies in areas such as the following: Fitness, net sports, team sports, and dance Human growth and motor development Social behavioral aspects of physical education Teaching theory and methods
