This program studies how human movement improves overall physical health and fitness. Subject areas include: biomechanics, physiology of exercise, motor control, applied anatomy, testing and prescription and athletic injury management. Students in this program are actively trained through hands-on learning and practical, real-world experiences. Our state-of-the-art Applied Neuromuscular Physiology Laboratory provides students with opportunities to perform the clinical and performance-based tests they learn about in textbooks. Our expert faculty take a personalized approach in preparing students for a variety of careers within the health and exercise field. This option allows students to complete pre-requisite courses needed for graduate school. Graduates may go onto be doctors, occupational therapists, physical therapists or athletic trainers.
